First SÜLZLE site in northern Germany

On 30 March 2015, SÜLZLE Stahlpartner will take over the rebar fab shop of the Lübeck-based Max Schön GmbH. The northern German specialized retailer for tools and steel is selling its rebar and pre-fabrication unit to be able to fully focus on its core competencies in the future. With its new site, SÜLZLE will expand its service area, allowing it to handle projects in the region around Lübeck, Hamburg and Kiel in a faster and more efficient manner.

With twelve sites, SÜLZLE Stahlpartner is one of Germany’s largest reinforcement steel dealers and rebar fab shops. However, the family business from the southern German town of Rosenfeld never had an operational site located this far to the North. “We are happy that in the future we will be able to offer our project partners in Lübeck and the surrounding region competent consulting and service on location,” emphasised Heinrich Sülzle, Managing Director of the SÜLZLE Group. SÜLZLE will also take over all employees of the rebar fab shop to allow the regular customers of Max Schön to continue to be served by the familiar contact persons.

Max Schön GmbH has been a member of the Danish Sanistål group since 1995. Offering an extensive range of tools and steel products, the company is one the largest and well-established specialised retailers in northern Germany. Max Schön wants to focus on this business unit in the future and therefore looked for a buyer for its rebar fab shop business. “With the SÜLZLE Group we are sure that our rebar fab shop and its staff are in excellent hands,” said Managing Director Miodrag Zivic, explaining the decision. “The company already has a first-rate position. This results in synergy effects that we would not have been able to implement on our own.”
