1. Information obligations pursuant to Article 13 of the EU GDPR: Applicants

We are pleased that you are interested in our company and that you have applied or are considering applying for a position with us. The following information explains how we process your personal data in connection with your application.

1.1 Who is responsible for data processing?

The respective company of the SÜLZLE Group* is responsible for processing your personal data. We process personal data in accordance with the provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter “GDPR”) and the Federal Data Protection Act (hereinafter “BDSG”).

1.2 What data do we process and for what purposes?

We process the data you have provided to us in connection with your application to assess your suitability for the position (or, if applicable, other open positions within our companies) and to carry out the application procedure.

1.3 What is the legal basis for processing your data?

The legal basis for processing your personal data in this application process is primarily Section 26 of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) in its version effective as of 25 May 2018. Accordingly, processing is permissible for data required in connection with the decision on establishing an employment relationship.

If, after completion of the application process, the data may be required for legal prosecution, processing may take place on the basis of the conditions under Article 6 GDPR—particularly for the protection of legitimate interests pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest then lies in the assertion or defense of claims.

1.4 How long is the data stored?

In the event of a rejection, applicant data will be deleted after six months.

If you have consented to your personal data being stored for a longer period, we will add your details to our applicant pool. The data in this pool will be deleted after two years.

If your application is successful and you are hired, the data from the applicant management system will be transferred to our employee information system.

1.5 To whom will the data be disclosed?

After receiving your application, your data will first be reviewed by the HR department. Suitable applications will then be forwarded internally to the department managers responsible for the respective open position. The further process will then be coordinated. Within the company, only those persons who need access to your data for the proper conduct of the recruitment process have access.

1.6 Where is the data processed?

Your data will be processed exclusively in data centers located within the Federal Republic of Germany.

1.7 Your rights as a data subject

You have the right to obtain information about the personal data we process about you.

If your request for information is not submitted in writing, please understand that we may require proof of identity to ensure that you are the person making the request.

You also have the right to rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing, insofar as this is legally permitted. Likewise, you have the right to object to processing within the limits of the law, as well as the right to data portability.

1.8 Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding our processing of your personal data.
