Apprentice involvement with deep roots: The Orchard Meadows Project

What began as a trainee project in 2020 is now a living example of sustainability in action at SÜLZLE. The company’s own orchard has long since become more than just a project on paper – it provides a home for numerous animal and plant species and demonstrates how commitment can grow visibly.

Across an area of over 1,800 m², our trainees and students tend to 24 apple trees of various varieties. A key part of the annual work is the professional spring pruning. Through targeted care, the trees are optimally prepared for the coming season and supported in their healthy development in the long term.

For our trainees, the orchard meadow is also a valuable learning environment. The project provides practical experience in teamwork, promotes awareness of nature conservation and brings sustainable action to life.

The orchard meadow is thus a powerful example of how responsibility, practical experience and learning go hand in hand at SÜLZLE.
