Tunnel commission for Europe’s largest infrastructure project

SOTRALENTZ CONSTRUCTION’s tunnel commission is part of the megaproject „Grand Paris Express“. With this Parisian construction project a transport system consisting of six unmanned subway lines will be built until 2030. It will improve the connection of the metropolis to the residential areas of the wider region of Île-de-France. In total, the project includes about 210 kilometers of new tunnel routes as well as almost 70 new underground stations and is, thus, one of the largest infrastructure projects in Europe.

SOTRALENTZ CONSTRUCTION received the tunnel commission for line 15 south which will in the end connect 16 stations from Pont de Sèvres to Noisy-Champs in 37 minutes. In addition, Line 15 South will pass through 22 communes and concern more than one million residents on a distance of 33 kilometers. About 17.000 tons of tubbings will be delivered by SOTRALENTZ CONSTRUCTION for the construction of this track section.

The initial acceptance of the first reinforcement cage with concrete formwork has successfully been conducted in the middle of March 2018 in Aubergenville, 41 kilometers west of Paris. Project manager Simon Balva, head of quality Pierre Huder, assembly supervisor Claude Steiner and Pascal Durain, who is responsible for the montage of the reinforcement cages on-site, represented SOTRALENTZ CONSTRUCTION at the acceptance.
