SÜLZLE Stahlpartner supports Clowns im Dienst e.V. in Tübingen
Donation on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the SÜLZLE Group
As part of its 140th anniversary celebrations, SÜLZLE Stahlpartner in Dußlingen is donating €1,400 to Clowns im Dienst e.V. in Tübingen. The clowns provide an invaluable service with their visits to children’s hospitals and nursing homes, bringing joy to the lives of many sick children, adults and senior citizens. The aim of the clown visits is to reach children in clinics and hospitals through humorous communication and to promote recovery through laughter. The clowns have developed a special repertoire for elderly, dementia and bedridden people. Touch, visual and acoustic media, as well as communication that can dispense with purely intellectual language if necessary, are essential components of this.
The clowns are very grateful for this wonderful commitment. Financed by donations, the KlinikClowns have been working in Tübingen, Reutlingen and Schwäbisch Gmünd for 20 years, providing a little variety from everyday hospital life with humour and fun.
Despite the coronavirus pandemic, they are trying to support sick people with many creative activities. Through ‘video visits’ or correspondence, as well as visits in front of the facilities, children and elderly people can enjoy a change of scenery and some cheer from their windows or balconies.
Because, as we all know, laughter is the best medicine.
