Electricity from renewable energies in the state of Rajasthan

The project activity provides for the generation of electricity from renewable energy sources (solar energy) and the sale of the electricity to the state grid. The generated electricity will be exported to the regional grid system, which is connected to the “INDIAN” electricity grid in India. The electricity mix in India is mainly dominated by power plants based on thermal or fossil fuels. The project will be able to replace approximately 832,550 MWh annually with renewable electricity, which will mitigate anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 694,471 tCO2e per year. The total installed capacity of the current project activity is 400 MW. The solar PV project is located in the state of Rajasthan in India and is promoted by SB Energy Pvt Ltd.
