Light and warmth for Ukraine
SÜLZLE Group supports Gustav Adolf Werk
The SÜLZLE Group’s donation of 15 000 € was used before Christmas to purchase power generators in western Ukraine. The aim is to ensure that families who want to stay in Ukraine do not have to leave because of the cold weather. “It is important to us that people can regain hope and faith at a time like this,” said Edith Kuret, member of the management board of the SÜLZLE Group, when she handed over the donation to Pastor Enno Haaks on December 12. Haaks is secretary general of the Gustav Adolf Werk, based in Leipzig. For months, the diaspora organization of the Evangelical Church in Germany has been helping people in Ukraine and all those who have been forced to flee since the Russian attack. To secure the current power supply during extreme frost, a Gustav Adolf Werk transporter loaded with 30 generators left Baden-Württemberg for Ukraine on December 14. Ten of these were purchased with the donation from the SÜLZLE Group and distributed to families in need, kindergartens, schools, and public institutions.
