SÜLZLE Stahlpartner Pressath supports the Sonnenblume Foundation
Donation on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the SÜLZLE Group
To mark the 140th anniversary of the SÜLZLE Group, the SÜLZLE Stahlpartner site in Pressath is donating €1,400 to the Sonnenblume Foundation, a charity for people with disabilities. The Sonnenblume Foundation supports measures and facilities that help people with mental or multiple disabilities and those at risk of disability. The foundation’s purpose is currently being fulfilled by providing residential and care places for the Heilpädagogisches Zentrum – Lebenshilfe für Behinderte e.V. Irchenrieth (Therapeutic Education Centre – Life Assistance for the Disabled) association and by providing assistance to residents of the HPZ residential homes in Irchenrieth. The independent foundation was established in 2005 by the ‘Heilpädagogisches Zentrum – Lebenshilfe für Behinderte e.V.’ and now has around 400 members and 700 permanent employees who care for 1,000 people with disabilities in the city of Weiden and the surrounding districts. The workshop in Irchenrieth offers disabled people who, due to the nature or severity of their disability, are unable or not yet able to return to the general labour market a job or the opportunity to pursue an occupation. The workshop offers the opportunity to fulfil one’s potential in suitable work. In addition, the workshop is a place for social interaction, making it easier for disabled people to build new relationships outside the family. By accomplishing their work, they gain social recognition and become stronger as individuals. The aim of the Sonnenblume Foundation is to provide targeted financial assistance where help is needed and funds cannot be obtained elsewhere.
The donation from SÜLZLE Stahlpartner Pressath will enable new outdoor play equipment to be purchased for the children’s home. Branch manager Marianne Ziegler and Hildegard Wolf presented a donation cheque to Mr Stadler and Ms Kummer on behalf of the entire Pressath site.
