SÜLZLE Stahlpartner Dessau-Roßlau supports the animal park in Dessau-Roßlau
Donation on the occasion of the 140th company anniversary of the SÜLZLE Group
On the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the SÜLZLE Group, the SÜLZLE Stahlpartner in Dessau-Roßlau donates 1,400 euros to the protected animal park in Dessau. With 11 hectares, this is Dessau’s largest and most popular local recreation centre, whose fauna and flora are visited and admired by more than 100,000 guests every year. In 1958, the first sod was turned for the foundation of the animal park, and from year to year it became more attractive and more animal-rich. Many enclosures and aviaries were built. Thus 500 animals of about 120 different species live in the midst of rare trees and shrubs. More than 1,000 trees, of which about 125 are labelled woody species, define the park’s profile. This is why the animal park, like hardly any other institution, is not only a centre of attraction for children and adults, but also ideally suited to vividly illustrate the origin, habitats and habitat of the different animals. Because with knowledge of the animal world, understanding of the environment also grows.
The donation from SÜLZLE Stahlpartner Dessau-Roßlau will be used for the large-scale project of an Australian enclosure where, in addition to black-nosed sheep, the animal inhabitants emus, kangaroos and dromedaries will also be on display. Branch manager Thorsten Hille handed over a donation cheque to animal park director Jan Bauer on behalf of the entire Dessau-Roßlau site.
