2,500 tons of reinforcing steel and mesh

Office and administration building for the German Bundestag

A new building project for the German Bundestag is being constructed in Berlin-Mitte under the direction of the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning (BBR). Following the demolition of the existing building, a new administration building, which will house, among other things, a canteen with cafeteria and a company medical practice, is currently forming a closed block perimeter.

For the civil engineering, the SÜLZLE Stahlpartner branch in Dessau Roßlau already supplied around 114 tons of diaphragm wall reinforcement and around 75 tons of bored pile reinforcement in 2019 on behalf of Stump-Franki Spezialtiefbau GmbH. After completion of the excavation pit, the reinforcement for the entire building structure will follow in 2021 in cooperation with Otto Heil Hoch-, Tief-, Ingenieurbau u. Umwelttechnik GmbH & Co KG. Around 2,500 tons of reinforcing steel and mesh will be used for this.
