Winner Axia Best Managed Companies Award 2020: SÜLZLE receives award for entrepreneurial excellence

15.05.2020

Under the motto “outstanding corporate management deserves recognition”, the SÜLZLE Group was presented with the “Axia Best Managed Companies Award” on May 15, 2020. The coveted award is presented annually to German medium-sized companies that demonstrate entrepreneurial excellence in the view of the renowned initiators Deloitte, WirtschaftsWoche, Credit Suisse and the Federation of German Industries. The business award, which was launched by Deloitte in Canada in the 1990s, has since been successfully introduced in more than 20 countries. Due to the current Covid 19 pandemic, this year’s award ceremony was not held as a glittering evening event.

“As one of the award winners, the SÜLZLE Group also impresses with its first-class corporate management – through high innovative strength, a strategy based on the long term and strong governance structures. SÜLZLE is thus not only a benchmark for excellently managed medium-sized companies, but at the same time symbolizes the future of Germany as a business location,” emphasizes Lutz Meyer, partner and head of the medium-sized company program at Deloitte. “The current situation surrounding COVID-19 also poses enormous challenges for German SMEs. More than ever, entrepreneurial qualities such as strategic foresight, consistent, forward-looking action and value-oriented corporate management are in demand. This is also what our Best Managed Companies stand for,” adds program manager Markus Seiz from Deloitte.

The key internal areas evaluated by the initiators of the “Axia Best Managed Companies Award” consisted of strategy, productivity and innovation, culture and commitment, and finance and governance. “A long-term strategic corporate orientation combined with decision-making and implementation strength as well as sustainable and value-oriented actions form the foundation of our success,” explains Heinrich Sülze. At the same time, SÜLZLE’s strong group of companies with its 23 locations in Germany and two in France stands for securing and expanding the economic future.

“We would like to thank in particular all employees, customers, suppliers, service providers and partners whose daily commitment and support have made such an award possible. They are largely responsible for the success of our company and help shape its direction day by day,” says managing partner Andreas Sülzle, who runs the Rosenfeld company together with his brother Heinrich in the fourth generation.
