Water supplier in Rastatt renovated

State-of-the-art waterworks
The star Energie GmbH & Co. KG in Rastatt began the expansion and renovation of its Rauental waterworks in November 2016. The construction measures are almost complete with the commissioning in March 2018. Due to increased PFC (perfluorinated and polyfluorinated chemicals) contamination in the raw water of the well, the waterworks was completely renovated and extended. With regard to the removal of pollutants, the Rastatt water supplier is now at the cutting edge of technology after the completion of the commissioning phase.
SÜLZLE KOPF Anlagenbau was responsible for the pressure filter boilers and the hydraulic equipment. Furthermore, a deacidification stage consisting of a trickle system with packing has been integrated. The four activated carbon filters were lifted into the new building by SÜLZLE KOPF Anlagenbau before the roof was erected. A further challenge was the installation of the softening filters which were inserted through the previously opened roof of the existing listed building under cramped and difficult conditions.
